the one with self-flushing toilets & an airport fiasco

I realized the other day that self-flushing toilets never work right. They either flush too fast or take waaaaaay too long. At the airport, the self-flushing toilet flushed while I was still on it! That's just not right. You end up getting splashed because you didn't get up quick enough. Or, on the other end of the spectrum, you have the toilets at my law school that never seem to flush. You stand there and wait, just wanting it to flush so you can let the next person in. I always end up pressing the flush button because it doesn't go fast enough. I feel like Goldilocks, looking for the self-flushing toilet thats JUST RIGHT. Why isn't there an in-between? A self-flushing toilet that senses your flushing needs? Or maybe they should make one with a voice command: flush now, self-flushing toilet.

Now on to the airport fiasco. My flight to VA after Thanksgiving was supposed to leave at 7. Because of some crazy strong winds, it got delayed till 9. We didn't board till 9:30. Then we sat on the runway for 2 hours because they were only using 2 runways for all incoming and outgoing flights for all of DFW. I didn't land in Norfolk until 2:30am. Then it took the bags forever to get to the little carosel (probably because they only had 1 person stll working at that hour in the morning). And then I had a 45 minute drive back to Williamsburg. I didn't get to my apt till 4:15!! It's a little scary to go into an empty apt by yourself when its that dark and late. I had myself very freaked out, but everything was okay. I was a teensy bit tired yesterday though ( :

Exam update: my first one is in a week! My outline (law school word for self-made study guide) is SO close to being done. My outlines for the next two exams are about halfway and I havent even thought about the last one. I'm feeling kind of panicked. Also, because of exams, I might be MIA on my blog for a bit (or I'll blog WAY too much as a way to procrastinate) and I might be hard to get a hold of in general. So if I don't call you back, don't take it personally.

Jeers: to laziness and procrastination

Cheers: to my new shirt being on Gilmore Girls! One of the character was wearing MY shirt in the same color and everything. How cool am I now??

You are one crazy girl! Some of your posts would really make good topics for Seinfeld -- I can just hear Jerry or George going off on self flushing toilets! By the way, could you start writing my blogs for me again since I'm not allowed to work on them at work anymore? ( ;
