So, things are going pretty well. I just finished my first legal memo. It's pretty crappy, but it's not for a grade and I was so tired ( : I had a pizza party with my little law firm and that was pretty fun. Afterwards I went for a walk around the colonial area with two of the girls. It was pretty fun. Today, I get to meet my fellowship coordinator. I'll be working for the Institute on the Bill of Rights, which sounds pretty dull. I guess it's better than the circulation desk in the law library.
For those who were wondering, I have found several difficult things about living alone:
1. There is no one else to get rid of crickets and spiders.
2. There is no one to help me set up my cool new tv stand or pick up my uber heavy tv and put it on top.
3. There is no one to help me eat any scrumptious meals I cook, so there is no incentive to cook.
4. It's hard to decide if pictures look good or are centered with no one to give you an opinion.
5. There is no one to call and harrass the mattress people for still not delivering my bed when I was supposed to have it on Tuesday.
6. There is no one else to play with Latte when she is bored and I'm writing a paper.
7. There is no one to do things with on the weekend (at least not yet, I'm still working on making friends)
Being alone hasn't been that bad, but I don't like getting stuck doing all those things by myself. The tv one is really going to be a problem. Maybe I'll just leave my tv on the floor until my sister comes to visit in 2 weeks. So, all you lucky people, don't take for granted the friends that live near you because it's not as much fun when you don't have them anymore.
Cheers: to the last day of orientation
Jeers: to not seeing Brian for a full week
