I can't believe I have homework on my first week of ORIENTATION. It's not even real class yet and I've had reading and writing assignments. I guess it's good that we're learning it early. Anyway, things are going well. I think I've made 2 friends. They are in my law firm (they split us up into law firms so that we'll get real world practice with how that works). Anyway, one of them loves coffee and coffee shops and small dogs and making lists. Hello, that's me. The other girl, Amy, likes to shop and is really fun to talk to. She also has a LD boyfriend. Anyway, I'll be spending the next 2 years doing a lot of work with them and I'm hoping that some social things will come up too. Maybe I'll see if the first one wants to go get coffee sometime. Goodness, making friends is scary.
My mom went home today and it was sad (and it doesn't help that I'm PMSing). I didn't cry in front of her, but I cried most of the way home from the airport. It's funny how she can drive me nuts but I still wish she could have been here longer. Now its just me and Latte. She is definitely keeping me entertained. Earlier (and I swear I am not making this up) she had been sitting on the couch with me and then she got up and ran to where her stuff is kept. She came back around the corner carrying her water bowl. She brought it over to me, put it down, and looked at me like "go fill this up woman." I should change her name to Snoopy.
Okay, time for bed for this Elle Woods. I'll post some pictures soon now that I have internet!
