How is it December? Seriously. Time is going by much too quickly, at least as far as school goes. As much as I want to be done with the semester and law school in general, I am really dreading finals this time around. I'm very under-prepared. (Please don't take this as an invitation to post comments like "you'll do fine" and "it'll be okay" because that just irritates me). At least I have a little good news: the first TWO issues of my law journal went to the printer!! Last year they didn't send off issue two until February, so I feel pretty good about my managing editorial skills. Its kind of a big deal.
On Sunday, the Burg had a big holiday kick-off called Grand Illumination. In the colonial area, the little fife and drummers played Christmas music and then they set off 3 simultaneous fireworks displays. It was by far the coolest fireworks thing I've ever seen. I don't really know how to describe them, but they were a lot cooler than the basic ones. I set up my Christmas tree (or Christmas shrub, as Brian likes to call my 3ft tree) this week and all my decorations. I'm also wearing my reindeer pajama pants, so I feel very spirited. Oh and I got a really cute wreath from Pier One.
In other news (ie. skip this part if you don't want to hear about wedding details and countdowns), we're in double digits. 95 days to be precise. Things are moving along. Just need to convince certain people to buy their mother of the bride dress and certain other people to book our rehearsal dinner. And need to pick out wedding bands. And find new bedding to register for since the stuff we wanted isn't available anymore.
Back to the grind...
Oh, and I am taking a leave of absence from facebook right now (forced being that Brian changed my password so that I can't log in) because I need fewer distractions.
Cheers: to books about Jane Austen and Mr. Darcy
Jeers: to tv writers going on strike

I gotta tell ya, I'd rather have two babies at home screaming then be in the midst of finals right now...ugh!
Way to go on being in the doubles for the wedding countdown. I am all about countdowns and that is so cool...the rest will fly by and do work on that mother of the bride dress thing...I was in fitting rooms THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING with my mom. It is way too much stress at that time. I don't recommend it under any circumstance.
And...i'm loving the blog about your family picture. Sounds so much like my family pictures, except that after all the work that goes into it I don't think my parents have EVER actually sent the card out much less developed the pictures...ok so they develop them like 5 months later..no joke!
Oh don't worry, you'll do fine!! :) :) Ha ha! I know how you feel when people say that...they have no idea what it takes to prepare for a law school exam! They have no idea that you have to memorize an entire semester's worth of info and then regurgitate it into some form of crazy long essay and that consists of your entire grade! And that is just for one class! Good luck!!
