the one where Chicago was WICKED!!!

I have been in Chicago with my whole family (including Brian!!) for the last 4 days! It felt like we were there for a really long time because we got to do so many fun things and eat at some really good places. So much for the working out I had been doing!! And I even brought my running shoes on the trip...what a waste of suitcase space!!! Here's a quick overview: Friday we spent time on Navy Pier. We rode the ferris wheel and laughed at each other in the fun house mirrors. Saturday we went to the Field Museum to see Sue, the biggest complete T-Rex. We had lunch at this Irish Pub and then went to the top of Sears Tower - just 103 stories up in an elevator that goes 18 mph. Yikes. We had dinner at one of Chicago's deep dish pizzerias and then went to see WICKED!!!! I don't even have words to describe how much I loved the show. It was so fun to watch and the music was so good and we had AMAZING seats. Row 6. Wow. Sunday we did some shopping on Magnificent Mile - got some super cute purple flats and two cute scarves and some jewelry. Of course we went to the art museum for Brian that afternoon! Monday we went to the aquarium and saw a baby balooga whale, a really cute sea otter, a komodo dragon, and a cool dolphin show. That night we had an awesome dinner at a steak house with my parents. I was so stuffed. Overall the trip was full and fun. Its just fun to explore a new city. I think the best thing was that Brian and my family got a chance to sort of reconnect, which was really nice to finally see happen.
