the one with the birthday that wasn't

Contrary to popular belief, yesterday was NOT my birthday. You can't have a birthday with a 102 fever. I was in bed most of the day with a high fever and a nasty cough and a yucky headcold. I even slept in my coat for a while because I was so cold! I managed to have some soup from McAlisters for lunch, but was so sick that I couldn't get up to go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I couldn't even answer the phone for all my lovely friends who called to wish me happy birthday. Even if I had answered, they wouldn't have recognized my voice....it alternates between manly and a very highpitched squeak. Anyway, because of all that, my birthday has been postponed to Sunday. I'm feeling okay right now, and I'm hoping to be better enough by tomorrow to at least have normal tastebuds and enjoy at least one meal in honor of turning 23.

Jeers: to being sick
Cheers: to my sister bringing me a balloon

I'm so sorry! At least you're home where people can take care of you instead of alone in VA! I hope you feel better so you can truly enjoy tomorrow's yummy meal!!!!

Seriously, I'm not sure what's worse, being sick at home on your birthday, or being sick alone in VA. At least you had people to take care of you!! Soooooooo sorry it worked out that way. Hope tomorrow is a fun last day in TX.

It really sucks that you were so sick on your birthday! I do remember Baylor bowling with this sweet little red headed girl! Who would have thought we'd still be in touch way back then! That class was so fun. It made the bowler that I am today!! Hope you are feeling better! How are wedding plans coming?
