the one with productive procrastination

I have a new term for you that I just made up: productive procrastination. It's when you procrastinate from doing the thing you need to do the most by doing other productive things. Like when I vacuum my apartment instead of writing my paper. Or when I give Latte a bath instead of reading for class. I'm sure lots of you (julie especially!) know exactly what I'm talking about!

So today was FABULOUS. Kristina convinced me to skip property class and we went to the outlet mall. I bought some way cute stuff: cute long sleeve shirt, fun sweater, cute t-shirt, tank top, skirt, 3/4 length black shirt. And my favorite random item - some bright green cordorouy pants! They are soooooooo random and funky but I really really like them! I'm starting a fashion trend. In 2 months you will all have a pair and be saying "my cool friend elaine was right, these are so fashionable." I still need to find some black everyday shoes for winter. All I have is knee-high boots and that's just too complicated for everyday. I also got my mom's christmas gift. Later on, I'm going to Starbucks to do some major studying and then I'm making tacos and watching a movie.

I'm so glad this week is done. It's been super busy. I did my first negotiation! I was negotiating the sale of a painting and the other team accused me of being a bully. I was not at all, they were just being stupid. So stupid that we couldn't agree on a price. Anyway, it was kind of fun. I also did a follow-up interview with our client (played by a 3rd year student). It went pretty well. I got called on twice this week in class....yuck....but did okay on answering. I'm just glad everything is over!!

Latte is having a great week, too. She bought a fancy coat from Target that is like Macie's except it's black. This week she proved that she can stay in the main part of my apartment (not just the kitchen). No accidents or evidence of misbehavior. I'm so proud! She also learned how to do a high-five!

Cheers: to queso and cookies
Jeers: to spending a bit too much money (oh well)

I am definitely going to have to borrow that term - productive procrastination!!! I even put some of those other items on my to do list with my homework so that I feel even better about procrastinating!
