the one where I got my hopes up

I hate getting my hopes up. I'm not going to do it anymore because it never works out well. For example, when I came home for Fall Break I got my hopes up about getting on an earlier flight. And it didn't work out. This time I got my hopes up about coming home four days early for Thanksgiving. My friend Haley is getting married on Saturday morning and the Bears are playing their last game that afternooon. It would have been so perfect. But the cost to change flights was anywhere from $500-$1000!!! PLUS what we already spent on the flight. And that's just too much money especially considering all the other flights home to Texas this semester. So now I'm trying to feel better about it, but its so hard! I was so excited to be in Texas those extra four days. I guess it's good to have an extra weekend to study without distractions. It just stinks. Next time I book a flight, I need to remember that I'm always okay with skipping class!

Today is absolutely beautiful. Another great fall day! My torts professor let us out 20 minutes early from class so I treated myself to the BEST turkey sandwich from the Cheese Shop. They have gourmet cheese, really fresh homemade bread and thinly sliced turkey. It's to die for. I'll take you all there if you come visit me. And when I was parking, I saw this old guy sneak to what he thought was a hidden spot and relieve himself. He thought he couldn't be seen, but he was wrong!

Now I'm cleaning my apartment and getting ready to do some studying. And Gilmore Girls is new tonight...Jess is coming back!

Cheers: to my favorite episode of friends: the one with the wedding dresses
Jeers: to airline penalties
