the one where I was unemployed

I'm waiting for my ipod to charge so that I can go work out. In the meantime, I thought I would update you on what's been going on. Yesterday was my last day at work. I can't believe that my six months are already done! I learned a lot at my job and really enjoyed it. The people there took me in and I became friends with them and now it's over. It will be wierd not to see them everyday. I'll miss our lunches and our chocolate breaks. They gave me a fun going-away party. We had breakfast, then went out to lunch, then they bought icecream sandwiches and surprised me with a few gifts (a starbucks giftcard, a cool picture frame, a target card). Then it was time to shut down my computer one last time and clear off my desk. Sad!

After work, I drove over to Fort Worth to have dinner with Sara and Emily. Emily and I walked around downtown, which is a lot cooler than I thought it would be. It had lots of restaurants and shops. We sat in Barnes & Noble...they had two big chairs by the window on the second floor and we spent about an hour watching people walk by and making comments about them. It's fun to make up stories about what people are doing. Then Sara met us for dinner at PF Changs (so good). We had drinks and spent the whole time laughing. I miss those girls!

Today I started my summer!! I met Brian for breakfast at Corner Bakery (yummy yummy) and then we shopped at the Galleria. It's fun to shop with him when we're both in the mood to shop. We just walk slowly and look at everything. We both bought some Puma tennis shoes (he owed me a pair for Christmas). It was so cute...he wanted to wear his out of the store! I haven't done that since I bought my last pair of keds. And no, that wasn't last year. After some very fun shopping, we went to Starbucks because I had to find out what was happening with Harry Potter!! I spent the rest of the afternoon scrapbooking, playing with Latte, napping, etc.

Now it's off to work out and start getting rid of my butt. I know some of you will say things like "but you're so small" and I just have to tell you that small people gain weight too. When your pants don't fit, you're in trouble. It doesn't matter what size you are to start with. Anyway, I just had to say that. Elliptical machine, here I come!

Cheers: to a great day
Jeers: to endings
