the one with the queen, the end of the year, and the Massenburgs

Wow. I just can't believe I am done with my second year of law school. Its just unreal. I still feel like I need to stop blogging and go study or at least feel guilty about not studying. I hope that feeling wears off soon. I finished exams on Wednesday and have been packing and relaxing ever since. I'm heading out in a few hours for Texas and summer, which will be great except for the fact that Brian will still be in VA. Ah, well. Thats the price we pay for getting to be together the rest of the year.

Besides exams and studying and all that mess, I got to do two fun things last week. Her majesty, the Queen of England, came to a little place I call the burg last week, as I'm sure you might know. She also came to the William & Mary campus in the afternoon. I managed to finish my exam in time to see her! She looks like a really sweet lady and I just love her proper little wave and amazing hats. Pretty cool to see her in person.

Last weekend I headed home for a mere 36 hours to see some of my best friends get married. I have known both Michael and Leslie since high school. I was there the day they met and I've seen them fall in love. Plus, Brian and Michael were roommates and frat bros and Leslie and I were roommates and sorority sisters. I know we'll be friends with them for life - the kind where you go on family vacations together and sit together at Baylor Homecoming parades. It was so neat to stand beside them when they exchanged vows. And the party was super fun...including a congo line with maracas...it was Cinco de Mayo and all.

Even though I had a rough final Monday morning when I got back, it was definitely worth the trip to see Michael and Leslie become Mr. and Mrs. Massenburg. Thats just so wierd (in a good way) to say.
