It's official. I'm a bride. After 14 months of being engaged, I finally got to start doing wedding things when I least expected it. I was home for the weekend and I was grumpy because my parents picked up Whataburger and didn't get me any. Thats an almost unforgiveable sin in our house. So I was pouting. My sister wanted me and my mom to go look at some potential prom dresses with her and I went, still pouting. After Meredith tried on dresses and headed out to choir practice, my MOM suggested that I try on some wedding dresses while we were there!!! As most of you know, this is a HUGE step. So we gathered up 6 or 7 dresses and let me just say, those things weigh a ton. I could only carry two at a time. I managed to get myself into the first one and when I stepped up on the little mirror platform, my mom and I both lost it. Good thing the place had a box of kleenex right there. I loved the first dress and a few of the others, but I have no idea how you pick one!! As far as wedding dates go, we haven't picked one yet, but we're getting closer. YAY!!!
Spring break was super fun. The first half was very relaxing and I got a little closer to caught up on school stuff. I headed home Thursday afternoon. Friday was spent doing a little shopping, seeing Brian's family, and getting things ready for Saturday.

Saturday - aka Day of Leslie - was very fun! My mom and I hosted a wedding brunch for Leslie at my house. Besides the yummy punch and girly food, it was so great to see some old friends! In the afternoon, we went to play Whirlyball as part of Leslie's Bachelorette activities.

Then we went to Sambuca, a jazz place in downtown, for a swanky dinner. We had a private alcove with cool cushiony benches and privacy curtains. We were like celebrities. Leslie got some fun lingerie - and a somewhat creepy Christian sex book with PICTURES. Creepy. Afterward, we had icecream sundaes and a slumber party at a hotel!
Sunday, I did the wedding dress thing and had a birthday dinner with my family at a mexican food restaurant! Now I'm back in Williamsburg for a busy week of class, meetings, and catching up.
Cheers: new Bare Minerals makeup!!
Jeers: the apt is a mess
