the one with many valentine's

As of yesterday, Brian and I have been dating SEVEN YEARS. I think thats nuts. Here are some highlights from the last seven valentine's:

Brian asked me to be his girlfriend after a Wednesday night Bible study we both attended. He gave me a cute little teddy bear in a heart sweater and a rose. He was SO nervous. It was cute.

We planned to go out to dinner and Brian was 45 minutes late picking me up! He didn't realize how long it would take to stop and by flowers - a dozen roses - and a box of chocolates. We tried to go somewhere romantic to eat, but ended up at a mexican food place. It was still fun though.

Valentine's Day attacked my college roommate with a vengence. She got a HUGE balloon that took up half the room from one boy, roses from another boy, a cookie bouquet from her aunt, and a package of other goodies from her parents. In my half of the room there were 6 very pretty tulips. It was kinda sad.

I spent the few days before V-Day making a scrapbook of the last three years of our relationship. And then Brian gave me a notebook with some of his favorite memories and pictures of us. Cute. We ate at a crappy little Italian place in Waco. Afterward we ate chocolate covered strawberries in our apartment courtyard.

I think I had Sing practice until really late, which kinda messed up the plans.

I had graduated from Baylor, so Brian drove up to Dallas and we had dinner at one of those Japanese places where they cook in front of you with the rest of my family. Sounds un-romantic, but it was really fun, esp when Brian tried to catch a shrimp in his mouth!

Brian was in Texas and I was in the Burg for V-Day. But he did come visit the weekend after V-Day and we spent a fun four days playing and hanging out.

I had class till 8, so I picked up Olive Garden for dinner. Brian surprised me when I got home with a dozen dark red gerber daisies! They're gorgeous! And he cleaned up my apartment and bought some good wine to go with dinner. We watched Moulin Rouge and just relaxed. So nice.
