the one where its January

I'm back in the 'burg for semester #4. Pretty crazy, huh? I can't believe I'm halfway done and I can't believe I've been done with Baylor for two years. Whirlwind. Here's an update for you:

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party: Super fun!! Always great when you get to see all your best friends looking like they woke up in the 80s. Best part of the night was when Brian finished off everyone's wine glass like he was doing shots and then gave Jenny a lap dance. Don't worry, we have it on video. Definitely going to be an annual affair.

Christmas: Different. This was the first Christmas ever that I haven't been at my house. My family went down to Corpus to spend Christmas with my grandparents because my grandpa can no longer travel. The whole event was surreal starting with our attempt to leave Dallas. You should know that my dad is a travel nazi. He turns into a crazed maniac anytime we leave town. This time we planned to leave around 10am but didn't actually get in the car until 1pm. Once we were all completely loaded and ready to go, my dad realized my mom hadn't gotten her tire fixed so he made us move everything into his car. You could literally see the steam coming out of his ears. Christmas was just strange and wierd and sad. Its just wierd knowing that Christmases probably won't be the same from here on out. But the best part about going to Corpus was getting to see some old friends and my cousins. Who knew that everyone in Corpus went to the bar on Christmas night?

New Years: I rang in the 2007 with some Mikey & Leslie and Jonathan & Jenny. They were nice enough to let me be a fifth wheel since BJ was in VA without me. We hottubbed, drank some sparkling cider and played Phase 10 until 4 a.m.

Brian: Officially moved to Virginia and started his new job! He already knows more about what to do in Williamsburg than I do. His new job is so perfect for him. He likes his co-workers and really enjoys learning more about Jamestown. And I love having him here. We've gotten to do normal stuff that I've missed, like walking Latte and watching tv.

Pro: I found the perfect wool coat and black knee high boots! Merry Christmas to me!!
Con: One of my new DVDs is already scratched. Boo.
