the one where I skipped my first class

Well it's Tuesday of my 2nd week of law school. I just can't believe it. Time is going by so quickly, which is just great. This weekend was pretty fun. This weekend I got some stuff put up in my apartment (like pictures on my bulletin board and some things on the walls). I also ran a lot of errands to return things that I bought but didn't end up working. By the way, there are a lot of MEAN people out there. Like the lady in front of me at Bed Bath and Beyond who was literally buying the whole store. Or the sales girls at Marshalls who saw me walk up, wait for her to finish chatting with a co-worker, and then helped the lady who walked up AFTER me before she helped me. Rude.

On Sunday, I went to church by myself and it was okay. The songs were familiar but the pastor talked for 45 minutes. That is 25 minutes longer than I can pay attention. It's not a keeper and I'm trying a different one next weekend. Then I went to Starbucks and got ahead on some reading. I had a good afternoon of chillin and watching Gilmore Girls episodes. I also called about 20 Banana Republics to see if they had a shirt I REALLY want in my size. Apparantly, they are all gone. I even called the corporate office and got them to check all the stores. Desperate? Nah.

Yesterday I had 2 classes and managed not to get called on at all. And that was good because I didn't really take good notes on my reading ( : I went to starbucks with TWO friends to study. Yes, that's right. TWO.

Today, I got up, got ready, did all my reading and note taking, left for class 30 minutes early to leave plenty of time for driving and parking and walking. But I should have just stayed in bed. There was construction and traffic and my 10 minute drive took 45!! I skipped class because I decided skipping was better than walking in 25 minutes late. The profs like to harass people who walk in that late.

Anyway, with the free time, I went to Walmart and even squeezed in a workout (that's 3 workouts in a week, not that I'm counting). Now it's time to hit the books because tomorrow is the worst day. And by now I mean after Gilmore Girls.

Cheers: to Meredith coming to visit me in THREE days!
