I went to Leigh Waters' (now Worthley) wedding this weekend in Corpus. This was the second wedding I went to this summer and there were 2 others that happened that I couldn't attend. It was so fun and I got to see lots of old friends, which was definitely worth the trip. It's really wierd because Leigh and I used to play "wedding" when we were little girls and then here I was at her real wedding with a veil that wasn't a pillow case!! Her wedding was pretty and classy, lots of people danced and she had several of the things that I want to have (like a chocolate fountain). Anyway, it was really fun.
I also saw my grandparents while I was there. My Papa isn't doing very well. On Saturday he could barely talk. And Mimi has been sick lately too. This is the part of growing up that isn't fun: realizing that everyone else is getting older too. Anyway, it was good to see them and my Maw. Mimi is so cute, I admire how she stays so positive even when she's dealing with so much. She asked me about law school and told me that whatever I wanted to do the most in my heart was okay and that I should go with that and not worry about what anyone else thinks. I love the unconditional, unbiased support she always gives me.
It was fun to be out of town and go on an airplane and stay in a comfy hotel bed.
Yesterday I picked up my puppy (she covered my face in kisses when she saw me) and then saw a movie with Meredith - Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. No, you don't have to be 12 to enjoy it. Last night, I went out with some people for Massenburg's birthday. Cheesecake Factory = yummy goodness. I had that Godiva cheesecake.... mmmmmm. I'm in heaven just reliving the taste of it. We also went to get some drinks at the Flying Saucer.
