Fun Weekend: An Update

This weekend was really great! After I got over my blue mood on Friday, everything was great. I watched my little sister perform in her drill team's spring show. She did a good job and looked a lot better than I would in spandex! On Saturday, I had a little pampering session: manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax (because the lady said it was time). I LOVE having french tips on my nails. I know that sounds incredibly snobbish but it's true. It's one of my favorite things. Then Brian came in town and we played with Latte outside for a while. The pup is starting to learn her name and she does cute puppy things all the time. It's very cute to watch her play with our 3-yr-old schnauzer named Maui. They have a blast together chasing around the yard or the kitchen.

Then on Saturday night, Brian and I got all dressed up for a night on the town! We met a lot of the senior girls in downtown Dallas at the Metropolitan and ate a fancy dinner. Sara, Tara, Shelley and I all got these Clear Cosmopolitans with pretty strawberries. Ordering a cosmopolitan is a very grown-up thing to do. Our dinner was yummy (and expensive) and it was really fun hanging out with all the girls. After dinner, we walked across the street to the O Bar, an underground place with cool couches and stuff. The waitress kept flirting with Brian and we all got free martinis. Then we headed over to Manhattans for some dancing. It was very fun and I can't believe we waited until right before gradaution to do this! I wish there was more time, I'm really not ready to grow up and leave all these girls. After we went dancing, our little group went back to my house. We had planned to watch a movie or something, but we were all too tired ( :

Yesterday, I slept in and then ate at Freebirds with Brian, Mike and Leslie. The three of them had to head back to Baylor (I hate it when Brian has to leave!) and I didn't really do much in the afternoon. I played with the puppy and went to bed pretty early. And just when I thought puppies were just plain cute, Latte did something disgusting. Last night, she slept in her crate like she had been doing. I woke up at 2:30 to let her go to the bathroom and she didn't have to go. She just crawled in my lap and went back to sleep. Same story at 4:00 am and at 5:45. So I got in the shower around 6 and when I got out she had gone to the bathroom on her bed!! And she got one of her toys in the mess. It was really gross to clean up and it was frustrating that she waited till I was in the shower to do that instead of going when she was supposed to. I guess we've got a ways to go on that whole potty training thing...

Now it's Monday morning and the week seems like it's going to be a slow one. I have a few things to work on and several things to think about (more on that later).
